Oliver Gnad

Oliver Gnad is a Frankfurt-based strategic foresight expert and adjunct faculty member at the Hertie School in Berlin since 2015. He co-founded and manages the 'Bureau fuer Zeitgeschehen' (Bureau of Current Affairs), specializing in scenario planning and geopolitical analysis. His academic and professional affiliations include roles as Non-Resident Fellow at the German Marshall Fund of the United States, Fellow at the Dahrendorf Forum, and Certified Senior Instructor at Globalytica Ltd.

• Doctoral degree in Contemporary History from Goethe University Frankfurt
• Former Director of GIZ AgenZ (2008-2016) and Director for International Programs at the ZEIT Foundation (2003-2007)
• Previous research assistant positions at Goethe University Frankfurt and Ruhr University Bochum

His research interests span strategic foresight, Cold War history, German party systems, sustainable development, and international security. At Hertie School, he teaches courses on Negotiation & Mediation and Scenario-Building & Foresight.
