Olga Popova

Olga Popova is a Senior Researcher (tenured) at the Leibniz Institute for East and Southeast European Studies (IOS), Regensburg, and a Research Fellow at the IZA Institute of Labor Economics. She holds a Ph.D. in Economics from CERGE-EI and Charles University, Prague (2012), an M.A. in Economics from CERGE-EI (2007), and a B.A. in Economic Theory from Ural State University, Russia (2005).

• Research Interests: Health Economics, Environmental Economics, Development Economics, Quantitative Economic History, Applied Labor Economics, Climate Change, Inequality, Institutions, Religion, Subjective Well-being, Transition Economies.
• Editorial Roles: Associate Editor for Journal of Population Economics, Journal of Happiness Studies, and Comparative Southeast European Studies; Section Editor for the Handbook 'Labor, Human Resources and Population Economics'.
