Olena Bokareva is an Associate Professor in Private Law at the Faculty of Law, Lund University. She specializes in maritime and transportation law, with a focus on international and EU legal frameworks. Her current research project addresses sustainable carbon capture, transportation, and storage, funded by the Marianne and Marcus Wallenberg Foundation. Previously, she explored passenger liability in sea and air transport under the Ragnar Söderberg Foundation.
Education: PhD from Lund University (2015), LL.M. in Maritime Law (Lund University). Her doctoral work analyzed the Rotterdam Rules. Teaching includes maritime law, transportation law, and EU law modules.
