Ole Wendroth is Professor of Soil Physics at the University of Kentucky, specializing in landscape-scale soil water and solute transport processes. His research examines spatial and temporal variability of soil hydraulic properties, vadose zone processes, and crop biomass development using geostatistical and remote sensing approaches. Current projects focus on variable-rate irrigation, cover crop systems, and sustainable water management in agricultural landscapes.
Dr. Wendroth has served as President of the Soil Science Society of America (2020) and holds editorial roles for multiple soil science journals. His awards include recognition as University Research Professor and Heick Professor of Soil Science.
