Andre Daccache is an Associate Professor in the Department of Biological and Agricultural Engineering at the University of California, Davis. His research focuses on precision irrigation, remote sensing, crop and soil spatial variability, hydraulics of pipeline systems, crop modeling, water resources management, irrigation engineering, and climate change impact analysis. He holds a Ph.D. and leads the Advanced Irrigation Systems Lab. His work integrates engineering, environmental science, and data-driven approaches to address agricultural sustainability challenges.
Key research areas include optimizing irrigation systems using remote sensing and machine learning, assessing climate change impacts on crop productivity and water resources, and developing tools for sustainable agricultural policies. He collaborates globally on projects such as modeling lake size trends in the Asian Water Tower, agrivoltaic systems, and water-energy-food nexus analysis.
Publications span topics like soil moisture estimation, reference evapotranspiration forecasting, and precision agriculture technologies. His applied focus addresses real-world challenges in water management, climate resilience, and sustainable crop production.
