Dr. Olabisi Daodu is a Senior Lecturer in Accounting and Finance at the School of Accounting, Finance and Economics, De Montfort University, within the Faculty of Business and Law. She is affiliated with two research centres: The Centre for Research in Accountability, Governance and Sustainability (CRAGS) and The Finance and Banking Research Centre (FiBRe).
Her educational background includes a PhD in Accounting from Durham University, an MSc in International Management and Accounting, an MBA, and a BSc in Accounting.
Dr. Daodu's research focuses on accounting, accountability, and management disciplines, particularly corporate governance, management accounting, financial management, behavioural accounting, auditing, and corporate social responsibility. Her work extends into e-governance through interdisciplinary projects in Africa.
The recent publications reflect a strong focus on governance in African and emerging markets, with thematic emphasis on institutional reform, sustainable capitalism, and public accountability. Her research bridges academic theory and policy impact, especially in developing economies.

Dr. Daodu is the first supervisor for PhD student Mena Yawer, researching VAT implementation in the GCC. She is a Co-Investigator on the STEGA project, funded by QR-GCRF under the Global Challenges Research Fund, which explores secure and trustworthy e-governance in Africa. She co-organized the WoSTEG2020 international workshop in Nigeria and Zambia, fostering stakeholder dialogue on e-governance, recognized for knowledge exchange impact.
She is actively involved in research grants, supervision, and professional engagement, contributing to equality, diversity, and inclusion as a member of the DMU Faculty of Business and Law EDI Committee.
