Oded Lipschits is a Professor of Jewish History at Tel Aviv University and served as Director of the Institute of Archaeology from 2011 to 2022. His research bridges archaeology, history, epigraphy, biblical studies, and theology, focusing on Judah during the Babylonian and Persian periods. He has directed excavations at Ramat Rahel and Tel Moza and is recognized for his scholarly contributions to understanding ancient Israel and Judah.
