Nyssa Bull is an Associate Lecturer at the UWA Law School, specializing in Intellectual Property Law and Creative Expression and the Law. She coordinates the Intellectual Property Law unit for the Juris Doctor program and teaches in the Creative Expression and the Law for the Bachelor of Arts. Currently a PhD candidate at UWA, her research focuses on the use of social media to 'call out' intellectual property infringements in Australia's design industry, exploring modern dispute resolution mechanisms.
Her professional background includes roles as a lawyer at firms such as Clayton Utz and Mallon & Co Lawyers, alongside extensive teaching experience at UWA and Curtin University. Nyssa holds a Bachelor of Commerce and First Class Honours in Law from Curtin University, and a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Western Australia.
Research interests span Intellectual Property Law, Social Media's legal implications, Fashion and Design Law, Copyright, Moral Rights, and Traditional Cultural Expressions. She advocates for accessible legal education, emphasizing practical applications of intellectual property principles.
