Kristina Stenvik is a Research Fellow and PhD candidate at the Department of Private Law, Faculty of Law, University of Oslo since August 1, 2020. She specializes in intellectual property law with additional expertise in market law, contract law, and right to compensation.
Her research interests focus on intellectual property law, particularly copyright infringement assessment from a human rights perspective. Her doctoral project titled 'Balancing the Protection of Authorship and Individual Freedom - Establishing Copyright Infringement under European Law' examines how balancing copyright against other fundamental rights affects infringement assessment.
Her sole documented publication analyzes patent protection of medical methods through comparative European and US legal frameworks. This work reflects her expertise in intellectual property law with specific attention to medical innovations and cross-jurisdictional legal analysis.
Kristina previously worked as an associate at Thommessen law firm's intellectual property department and as a university lecturer. She holds a Master of Laws degree (2016) with a thesis on patent law and an LLM in Intellectual Property and Information Technology Law from Fordham University, New York.
