Nuria Querol is Professor and Director of Critical Studies in the Art Department at Goldsmiths, University of London. Her academic journey includes a PhD in Curating Contemporary Art from Royal College of Art (2014), an MPhil in Art History and Theory from University Autonoma of Madrid (2007), and a BA in Humanities from University Pompeu Fabra, Barcelona (2002). She holds a Postgraduate Certificate in Academic Practice in Higher Education and is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.

Her research focuses on transcultural contemporary art with emphasis on Asia (China/India) and the Global South, exploring decolonial frameworks, global exhibition politics, and aural/visual culture intersections. She employs ethnographic fieldwork, curatorial experimentation, and textual analysis to challenge nation-state art paradigms.
Recent publications highlight transcultural curation during pandemic times and evolving Indian art representation at Venice Biennale. As Expert Evaluator for Horizon Europe (2021-2027) and EACEA, she contributes to European research assessment frameworks.
