Nuria Cinta Arenas Hidalgo is a Professor at the University of Huelva, affiliated with the School of Law and the Department of Public and Labor Law. She leads research in Public International Law, with a focus on Refugee Law and Migration Studies, particularly addressing climate-induced displacement, gender-based asylum claims, and EU legal frameworks.
Her academic credentials include a PhD from the University of Seville, where her thesis analyzed the European Directive on Temporary Protection Systems for displaced persons. She contributes to the Research Center on Contemporary Thought and Innovation for Social Development and leads the SEJ575 Public Law for Governance research group.
