Nunzio Raimondi

Nunzio Raimondi is a contract professor at Magna Graecia University of Catanzaro, teaching 'Genesis and Dynamics of Criminal Organization' in the Master's Degree Program in Organization and Social Change since the 2018/2019 academic year. He has held various contract professor positions at the same university since the late 1990s, teaching Criminal Law, Criminal Procedural Law, and Elements of Criminal Law across multiple departments including the School of Specialization in Forensic and Insurance Medicine, the School of Specialization for Legal Professions, and the Degree Course in Environmental and Workplace Prevention Technician.

Raimondi graduated in Law in 1988 from the University of Rome 'La Sapienza' with a thesis in criminal procedural law. His research interests focus on Criminal Law, Criminal Procedure, Organized Crime, Legal Ethics, Medical Liability, and Corporate Criminal Law. He has developed particular expertise in the criminal liability of legal entities and has served as a consultant to Confindustria Calabria on this matter.

His scholarly output demonstrates a consistent focus on criminal justice reform, human rights protection, and specialized areas of criminal law including medical liability, food law, and organized crime. His recent publications show increasing international engagement, particularly with Iranian legal scholars on comparative criminal justice systems and human rights issues. His work often bridges theoretical legal scholarship with practical applications in criminal proceedings.

Raimondi has extensive experience as a legal practitioner with over thirty years handling criminal law, civil law, administrative law, and labor law cases. He has served as legal counsel for credit institutions, public entities, ANSA news agency, and the Calabrian Order of Journalists. His teaching extends beyond the university to numerous continuing education courses for lawyers, judges, and magistrates. He has also served on multiple parliamentary commissions of inquiry as a legal consultant and is Dean of the Higher Institute of Social and Criminological Sciences.
