Elena Augusta Andolina

Elena Augusta Andolina is an Associate Professor of Criminal Procedural Law at the University of Catanzaro 'Magna Graecia', where she is affiliated with the Department of Law, Economics, and Sociology (DiGES). She holds a PhD in Criminal Sciences and has been awarded a prestigious CNR scholarship for research in criminal procedure. Her expertise spans constitutional prejudicial procedures, European legal frameworks, and penitentiary law. She coordinates the Criminal Procedural Law area at the University’s Specialization School for Legal Professions and contributes to the Research Center on Human Rights, Integration, and European Citizenship.

Her teaching duties include courses on Criminal Procedural Law and Penitentiary Law at both undergraduate and master’s levels, with syllabi updated for 2024/25. She actively participates in academic events, such as the Italian-Spanish Seminar on Criminal Justice, and serves on the Commission for Lawyer Examinations at the Catanzaro Court of Appeal. She is affiliated with international organizations like the Brazilian Institute of Procedural Law (IBDP) and contributes to the editorial board of Archivio della nuova procedura penale.

Her research focuses on vulnerable subjects in criminal processes and comparative criminal justice systems. She has authored two monographs and numerous essays on Italian and European criminal procedural law, reflecting her commitment to advancing legal scholarship in these areas.
