Dr. Nuala Ryan serves as an Associate Professor in the Department of Management & Marketing at the Kemmy Business School, University of Limerick, where she conducts research and teaches Strategic Management and Leadership modules. With extensive industry experience in HR Business Management and Organizational Development, she bridges academic theory with practical applications in healthcare leadership and organizational systems. Her current research output spans 24 publications from 2019-2024, and she actively supervises PhD students in healthcare leadership projects.
Her research centers on Leadership in Healthcare, Business Policy in Healthcare, and Strategic Leadership of Digital Transformation, with additional focus on Women in Leadership and Entrepreneurial Leadership. She employs qualitative methodologies to explore identity development, talent management, and gender dynamics within organizational contexts, particularly in healthcare settings where her work intersects with UN Sustainable Development Goals related to health and gender equality.
