Noyan Dinçkal is a full Professor of European History of Knowledge and Communication in the Modern Age at the University of Siegen, Faculty I. He has been a central figure in the Department of History since 2016, contributing to research, teaching, and academic leadership. His work bridges transnational, environmental, and technological history with a focus on modern Europe and Turkey.
His research interests include the history of knowledge, science and technology, sports, urban environments, disability, and transnational cultural exchange. He has led significant projects on Turkish migrant housing and environmental design in the 20th century. His publications span monographs, edited volumes, and numerous journal articles in leading historical and interdisciplinary journals.
The recent articles reflect a strong interdisciplinary trend, integrating environmental history, disability studies, media analysis, and the history of science. His work frequently explores the intersections of technology, the body, and society, particularly in 20th-century Germany and transnational contexts.
