Noushad Bin Jamal M is a Postdoc researcher in the Department of Environmental and Resource Engineering at the Technical University of Denmark (DTU), specializing in microstructural analysis of engineering materials through advanced imaging and computational techniques.
His research centers on cement-based materials, crack growth mechanics, and structural steel fatigue, utilizing X-ray computed tomography (XCT) integrated with deep learning for damage characterization. Key interests include digital volume correlation, heterogeneous material behavior, and micromechanical modeling of fatigue evolution in civil infrastructure systems.
Recent 2025 publications demonstrate cross-disciplinary work bridging civil engineering, materials science, and artificial intelligence to solve complex durability challenges in construction materials.
He actively contributes to the DTU research project Frontier: Digital volume correlation – unraveling Fatigue in heteROgeneous eNgineering maTERIals (2021-2025), developing novel methodologies for fatigue analysis in engineered materials.
Based at DTU's Lyngby campus, he operates within the Materials & Durability research ecosystem, advancing sustainable infrastructure solutions through high-resolution material characterization.
