Nouran Shash

Nouran Shash is a Researcher in the Department of History at the European University Institute (EUI), where she is part of the 2017 cohort. Her academic work is situated within intellectual and transnational history, focusing on the evolution of political thought in Britain during the late 19th and early 20th centuries.

Her research interests center on intellectual history, particularly the international dimensions of British liberal thought. She explores the ideas of the Fabians and 'New Liberals,' examining how reformist ideologies engaged with global issues between 1889 and 1929.
