Dr. Norene Erickson is an Associate Professor in the Department of Management and Organizations at MacEwan University, where she has taught since 2004 with expertise spanning library science, organizational behaviour, and business education.
Her educational background includes:
- PhD from the University of Alberta
- MLIS from the University of Alberta
- BA from the University of Alberta
Norene's research centers on the human dimensions of library work, particularly emotional labour in public libraries, digital reference systems, and the professional identity of library paraprofessionals. She actively explores information literacy, pedagogy, and organizational dynamics within library institutions, addressing critical issues in contemporary library science and higher education curriculum development.
