Nora Milch is a Research Fellow at the Department of Criminology and Sociology of Law, Faculty of Law, University of Oslo. Her work centers on border externalization, focusing on Lebanon, and explores tensions between humanitarianism, legal mobilization, and migration control.

Research Trends:
The project Shifting notions of border externalization (2024–2028) examines how state and non-state actors in Lebanon negotiate Europe’s border-control practices, including offshoring and deterritorialization. Her work bridges criminology, migration law, and qualitative methodologies.
