Nora Decter is an Instructor in the Department of English at the University of Winnipeg, Faculty of Arts. A writer, musician, and educator from Winnipeg's North End, she holds a BA in English and Creative Writing from York University and an MFA in Creative Writing and Literature from Stony Brook University.
Research interests include:
- Socialist, feminist, and experimental novels
- Language and identity studies
- Form and meaning interplay in literary texts
Teaching areas cover Contemporary Literature, The Novel, Creative Writing, Creative Non-fiction, Young Adult Literature, and Academic Writing. Her publications span creative works, literary reviews, and essays in outlets like The Malahat Review and The Southampton Review.
