Noleen McCorry is a Senior Lecturer at Queen's University Belfast (QUB), affiliated with the School of Medicine, Dentistry and Biomedical Sciences and the Centre for Public Health. She holds a Chartered Psychologist status with a PG qualification in Health Psychology and is a fellow of the NIH TIDIRC programme. Her work focuses on designing, adapting, and evaluating psychosocial interventions for older populations and individuals with long-term conditions, particularly those with sensory or cognitive impairments. She leads projects funded by organizations like NI Chest Heart and Stroke, MRC PHIND, and ESRC Impact Acceleration Account.
Teaching roles include coordinating the PG course 'Social Model for Health & Wellbeing in Primary and Community Care,' integrating Psychology/Behavioural Sciences into QUB's undergraduate medical curriculum, and contributing to the MPH program in areas like survey design and health behavior change. She has supervised 4 PhD works and served as a PhD external examiner.
Her research spans healthcare quality improvement, implementation science, and interventions for stroke survivors, visual impairment, and befriending services. Notable awards include the Health Foundation Q Membership (2017) and an All Ireland Hospice Fellowship (2012). She actively engages in national/international committees, including the Office for Research Ethics (NI) and Healthy Ageing Strategic Partnership (HASP).
Recent publications (2023-2025) address topics like care home nutrition, dementia with Lewy bodies, and glaucoma care priorities. Over 88 research outputs and 52 professional activities highlight her extensive contributions to public health and aging research.
