Noha El-Mikawy is a Professor of Practice and Dean at the School of Global Affairs and Public Policy at The American University in Cairo (AUC). With a PhD in Comparative Politics from UCLA, she combines academic expertise with three decades of professional experience in policy advising, institutional development, and international partnerships. Her career spans leadership roles at the Ford Foundation, UNDP, and academic positions across global universities.

El-Mikawy serves on the governing board of the Swedish International Peace Research Institute (SIPRI) and the Arab Reform Initiative (ARI), as well as the advisory board of the Swedish Dialogue Institute. Her work bridges academia and strategic grant-making, with a focus on institutional support for universities and think tanks in the Arab world.
