Noha Radwan

Noha Radwan is an Associate Professor of Comparative Literature at the University of California, Davis. She is also affiliated with the Middle East/South Asia Studies Program and teaches Arabic Language courses. Her research focuses on Arabic literature, Middle Eastern studies, and cultural identity.

Education: Ph.D., University of California, Berkeley; M.A., American University in Cairo.

Her work explores themes such as Egyptian colloquial poetry, Arab nationalism, Palestinian studies, and the intersection of literature and history. Recent publications include Egyptian Colloquial Poetry and the Modern Arabic Canon (2012) and articles on the Egyptian Revolution and Palestinian cultural expression.

Translations include The House of Jasmine by Ibrahim Abdel Meguid (forthcoming 2012). Her research emphasizes literary analysis, historical context, and cultural politics in the Arab world.
