Noelle Carlozzi is a Professor in the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and the Department of Surgery at the University of Michigan. She serves as Director of the Center for Clinical Outcomes Development and Application (CODA) and holds research affiliations with the Survey Research Center - Data Science for Dynamic Decision Making, the Institute for Healthcare Policy and Innovation, and the Institute for Social Research.

She specializes in item response theory-based methods for computer adaptive tests (CATs), with applications in Huntington disease (HDQLIFE), traumatic brain injury (TBI-CareQOL), spinal cord injury, stroke, and nephrotic syndrome. Recent work includes mobile health (mHealth) for real-time symptom assessment and digital biomarkers for caregiver-patient dyads.
