Noele Crossley

Dr Noele Crossley is an Associate Professor (Teaching) in International Organisations & International Security at University College London's Department of Political Science. She holds a PhD in International Relations from the London School of Economics, a Postgraduate Certificate in Higher Education, and is a Senior Fellow of the UK Higher Education Academy. Her expertise spans teaching and research in global security policy, humanitarian protection, and conflict resolution.

Research interests focus on international norms of protection, humanitarianism, and peacebuilding. She supervises PhD projects on topics like disarmament, sanctions regimes, and non-violent conflict resolution. Her publications include books such as Evaluating the Responsibility to Protect and Understanding Humanitarian Protection, alongside numerous journal articles analyzing R2P dynamics, African Union protection frameworks, and humanitarian intervention ethics.

Teaching responsibilities include courses on humanitarian protection, global security policy, and conflict resolution. She actively contributes to debates on pedagogy in political science and the evolving role of international organizations in conflict prevention.
