Nobuya Watanabe serves as an Associate Professor at Waseda University with primary appointment in the School of Commerce (Faculty of Commerce), alongside secondary affiliations at the School of Education (Faculty of Education and Integrated Arts and Sciences) and Graduate School of Fundamental Science and Engineering (Faculty of Science and Engineering).
He holds a Doctor of Science (理学博士) degree from Waseda University, specializing in mathematical sciences.
Watanabe's research centers on geometric dynamics, particularly growth sequences in circle and interval diffeomorphisms. His work investigates differential growth under iteration in non-periodic systems, bridging differential geometry with topological dynamics through rigorous analysis of smooth mappings on one-dimensional manifolds.
His publication record reveals sustained contributions to geometric functional analysis over two decades, with emphasis on asymptotic behavior in diffeomorphism iterations. These studies establish fundamental connections between geometric structures and dynamical properties in low-dimensional systems.
As an educator, Watanabe supervises master's theses in Pure and Applied Mathematics while teaching advanced topology seminars, manifold theory courses, and foundational mathematics for commerce students. Since 2019, he has contributed research insights as a Concurrent Researcher at Waseda's Research Institute of Business Administration.
