London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE)معرفی
Noah Zucker is an Assistant Professor in International Relations at the London School of Economics, specializing in the political economy of climate change and decarbonization. He holds affiliations with the Grantham Research Institute on Climate Change and Columbia University's Decarbonization Network. Zucker earned his PhD from Columbia University and was a postdoctoral fellow at Princeton University's Niehaus Center for Globalization & Governance.
His research examines how labor markets, bureaucratic institutions, and identity politics shape climate governance. Current projects investigate workforce transitions in decarbonizing economies, international organization responses to climate change, and misinformation in environmental politics. Methodologically, Zucker employs field experiments, computational text analysis, and historical case studies across multiple continents.
Zucker's publications analyze the intersection of industrial change, identity formation, and environmental policy. Recent work explores how occupational identities influence climate perceptions, how international organizations prioritize climate action, and how populist governments suppress environmental data. He integrates behavioral economics with institutional analysis to study policy feedback loops.
His numerous awards include APSA's Walsh Award for Best Dissertation (2023), McGillivray Award for Best Paper in Political Economy (2021), and Sage Prize for Best Paper in Comparative Politics (2021). Zucker receives funding from ESRC, European Commission, and Cornell Atkinson Center for Sustainability for projects on climate policy and labor market transitions.
He coordinates the London Environment and Public Policy Conference and advises UK climate governance initiatives. Zucker teaches courses on the political economy of climate change and global governance.
