Noah Gauthier is a Part-Time Lecturer at Durham College and a Graduate Teaching Assistant at the University of Ottawa. He holds a Master of Science in Environmental Sustainability from the University of Ottawa (2023) and Honors Bachelor of Arts degrees in Political Science and Anthropology from Wilfrid Laurier University (2021). Currently serves as a Junior Policy Analyst in the Climate Policy Hub at Indigenous Services Canada, Government of Canada.
His research focuses on multispecies assemblages and invasive species governance, particularly studying the socio-cultural and economic entanglements of Sea lamprey eradication in the Great Lakes. Funded by SSHRC and OGS, his work examines Indigenous knowledge systems, biotechnologies, and environmental policies shaping genetic control methods. Explores power dynamics in invasive species discourse through 'contact zones' and 'borders' frameworks.
