Noah Agbo is an early career Research Fellow at the School of Social Sciences, Education and Social Work, specializing in disability matters, mental health, social work, SEND issues, and migration/displacement through quantitative, qualitative, and mixed-methods research.
His research investigates social support systems for vulnerable populations including children with special needs, migrants, and persons with disabilities, emphasizing inclusion, policy development, and wellbeing across diverse cultural contexts from Nigeria to Latvia. Key themes address structural barriers in healthcare, education, and social services while advancing UN Sustainable Development Goals related to health equity and reduced inequalities.
Recent publications (2023-2025) reveal methodological diversity and geographic scope, examining neurodevelopmental disorder awareness among African healthcare workers, school-based mental health interventions in Nigeria, immigrant integration challenges in Latvia, and HIV/AIDS rehabilitation for disabled populations. This body of work demonstrates consistent focus on marginalized communities through community-engaged case studies and survey methodologies.
