Nkosana Mafico is a Lecturer in Strategy at the University of Edinburgh Business School, specializing in strategic leadership, sustainability, and socio-technical systems. He co-leads the Improving Policy Leadership (IPoL) initiative, a cross-college effort to enhance research impact, and contributes to curriculum design for 200+ students annually. His roles include serving on the Ethics, Responsibility and Sustainability Committee and the Minoritised Enterprise Policy and Action Lab Scotland (MEPALS).

Research Interests focus on the intersection of macro-level societal trends and micro-level psychological processes in organizational decision-making. Key areas include:

- Emerging technologies (AI, blockchain, NFTs) for sustainable governance
- Hybrid organizations and cultural resource re-legitimization
- Paradox theory applied to pandemic crisis management
