Sarah Murray

Sarah Murray is Professor of Law at UWA specializing in constitutional law, electoral systems, and preventive justice. She chaired Western Australia's Ministerial Expert Committee on Electoral Reform (2021) and serves on the Law Reform Commission.

Research Focus: Murray's scholarship examines institutional design of justice systems, constitutional conventions during emergencies, and electoral reforms. Her current ARC-funded project analyzes preventive justice frameworks and community-based dispute resolution models.

Publication Patterns: Recent work critically assesses executive power expansion during crises and evaluates community justice alternatives to traditional court systems. Her empirical studies of electoral reforms have directly influenced WA's legislative amendments.
