Nishat Awan is a Professor of Architecture and Visual Culture at University College London (UCL Urban Laboratory), where she explores the intersection of geopolitics and space through digital spatial representation, border regimes, and migrant narratives. Her research interrogates the ethical limits of witnessing distant places, focusing on diasporas, migration, and urban displacement.
- Current Project: Topological Atlas (ERC Starting Grant-funded) producing visual counter-geographies of migrant movements
