Luca Queirolo Palmas

Luca Queirolo Palmas is an Associate Professor in Sociology of Cultural and Media Processes at the University of Genoa, Italy, within the Department of Educational Sciences (School of Social Sciences). He co-directs Mondi Migranti, a journal focusing on international migration studies. His research centers on migration, borders, visual sociology, and youth cultures, with a focus on Mediterranean routes and solidarity networks. He has held visiting roles at institutions in Barcelona, Quito, New York, and Tunis.

His articles explore themes like the 'Calais Jungle' aftermath, Italian-French border dynamics, and migrant agency in Ceuta/Melilla.
