معرفی
Nir Yosef serves as an Adjunct Associate Professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Sciences at the University of California, Berkeley, and is affiliated with the Center for Computational Biology (CCB).
He earned his PhD from Tel Aviv University followed by postdoctoral training at the Broad Institute and Harvard Medical School, launching his independent research group at UC Berkeley in January 2014.
His research integrates high-throughput genomic sequencing data to model gene expression regulation, with specialized focus on immune cell differentiation, stability/plasticity dynamics, and acute stimulation responses. This work bridges computational biology, genomics, and immunology through algorithmic and statistical approaches to biological systems.
Professional Recognition:
- Okawa Research Grant (2016)
No details regarding graduate student mentorship or additional research grants are provided in the source material.
As a core member of the Center for Computational Biology, he directs a research group advancing computational methodologies for genomic analysis within UC Berkeley's interdisciplinary research ecosystem.
