Ningyuan (Kevin) Sun is an Assistant Clinical Professor at the University of New England's College of Dental Medicine. His expertise spans periodontology, bone biology, and dental implant research, with a focus on regenerative therapies and osteocyte signaling mechanisms. He holds a B.Med. from West China College of Stomatology (2013) and a Ph.D. in Oral Biology from Boston University (2019). After completing a periodontics residency at Tufts University (2022), he joined the ADEA Academic Dental Careers Fellowship Program. Dr. Sun is affiliated with the American Dental Education Association and American Academy of Periodontology.
His research investigates osteocyte regulation of bone formation, mechanobiology, and the effects of chronic kidney disease on oral health.
