Ninela Ivanova is an interdisciplinary designer, researcher, and innovation lead at the Helen Hamlyn Centre for Design (Royal College of Art). She specializes in inclusive design, service UX, emerging technologies, and creative leadership. Her work bridges design with neuroscience to drive organizational transformation and strategic innovation. She has led projects with clients like Lloyds Banking Group, TATA Consultancy Services, and Northumbrian Water Group.
Education: MSc Fashion Futures (Kingston University), PhD Design Research (Kingston School of Art). Her research focuses on sensory design, biomaterials (e.g., fungal applications), and leadership frameworks integrating empathy and creativity. She is a RSA Fellow, Design Management Institute member, and peer-reviewer for journals like Design Journal.
Key projects include the Inclusive Design for Business Impact (IDBI) initiative, Creative Leadership model development, and the 'Air-Control-Reimagined' airline operations project funded by TATA. Exhibitions include work on mycelium materials at Somerset House and Tokyo's Mori Art Museum.
