Fiona Myles

Fiona Myles is an Associate Lecturer at the London College of Communications, part of the University of the Arts London (UAL), where she teaches design management. She holds a Cranfield MBA and a fully qualified architecture degree from the Bartlett, University College London (UCL). Currently, she serves as Senior Design Manager at the Design Age Institute, collaborating with Andy Cripps to scope design opportunities, write translational briefs, and mentor organizations on design practices. Her professional experience spans over 20 years in design strategy, branding, and academia.

Her expertise includes creative industries, healthcare and ageing, inclusive design, and intelligent mobility. Recent clients include the British Council, British Library, Design Council, GIZ, Nesta, and UAL itself. Fiona’s work emphasizes translational design solutions for societal challenges, particularly in ageing and wellbeing.

She maintains her own design strategy practice, Kin, and has held roles that bridge academic teaching with industry consulting. Her professional affiliations include The Helen Hamlyn Centre for Design, where she is listed under expert areas related to service design and UX.
