Her research examines the systemic nature of violence intertwined with prosperity, focusing on domestic crime as a medial phenomenon and the cultural role of the True Crime genre across indexical media. Earlier work investigated aftermaths of 1970s political violence in Italy.
Current projects like Amok: Anatomy of the Normal analyze gender-specific violence (amok) in Western democracies, interrogating its relationship with white middle-class identity and social order. By appropriating early reality TV aesthetics, she creates fictional episodes that redefine 'norms' through artistic practice.
- 2025 Workshop: Colors of (Colonial) Chemistry (convened by Denise Bertschi)
- 2023 Interview: A Conversation with Sarine Waltenspül and Rahel Zimmermann
Her fellowships and research positions highlight her contributions to interdisciplinary studies at the intersection of media, politics, and societal structures.
