Nina Dobson

Nina Dobson is a Lecturer in Fashion at Norwich University of the Arts (NUA), where she has been since 2019. She leads first-year fashion courses, blending industry expertise with academic instruction. Prior to academia, she held roles as a Paris catwalk designer, consultant, and Head of Design at a luxury brand before founding her sustainable fashion label, DOBSON, in 2013. Her work emphasizes sustainability, global manufacturing processes, and British craftsmanship.

Education: Nina graduated from Kingston University in 2002 with a degree in Fashion. Her industry experience spans 20 years, including collaborations with elite brands like LVMH, Paul & Joe, and Harris Tweed, as well as designing for celebrities such as David Beckham. She has showcased collections at trade shows in London and Paris, with her brand DOBSON praised in international media.

Research interests focus on sustainability in fashion, ethical production, and innovative materials. Her teaching philosophy prioritizes equipping students with technical skills, creative problem-solving, and industry awareness to navigate evolving challenges in fashion.
