Nina Cemiloğlu is an Assistant Professor in the Department of English Language and Literature at Yeditepe University's Faculty of Arts and Sciences. She has held this position since 2015 and served as Department Deputy Chair since 2018. Her academic journey includes a PhD from Boğaziçi University (2010) on Ernst Bloch's influence in Bacon and Cavendish, an MA from Free University Berlin (2002) focusing on early modern women's writing, and a dual bachelor's degree in English and German Literature from the same institution (2000).
Her research interests span critical theory, feminist literary analysis, and utopian studies, with particular focus on intersections between philosophy and literature. Notable works explore Bloch's utopian pedagogies, feminist reinterpretations of Gothic architecture in Hardy, and Bakhtinian dialogism in contemporary narratives. She has supervised over 15 master's theses addressing topics like feminist critiques of Victorian novels, Jungian archetypes in drama, and ecofeminist readings of modern literature.
Her pedagogical contributions include courses on literary theory, Renaissance to Victorian poetry, and critical analysis of Shakespeare. Active in interdisciplinary scholarship, she co-authored A Tribute to Prof. Dr. Süheyla Artemel (2019) and frequently publishes in journals like ETHOS and Mediterranean Journal of Humanities.
