Nina Atanasova

Nina Atanasova is a Researcher at the Department of Microbiology, University of Helsinki, and a key contributor to the Molecular and Integrative Biosciences Research Program. She supervises doctoral students in Microbiology and Biotechnology and Integrative Life Science programs.

Her research spans microbiology, virology, and environmental science, focusing on bioaerosols, virus transmission in extreme environments (e.g., Arctic/Antarctic), and ice nucleation by microorganisms.
