Nils Weinberg is a Researcher at Humboldt University's Faculty of Law, specializing in public law with a focus on constitutional law, legal philosophy, and anti-discrimination law. He holds an LL.M. from the London School of Economics (specializing in Legal Theory) and is pursuing a PhD in the 'Normativity - Critique - Change' graduate program. His work bridges legal theory with socio-political issues, particularly the dialectics of freedom in anti-discrimination frameworks. Supported by the German National Academic Foundation throughout his studies, he has been honored with the Stanley De Smith Prize and a teaching award.
Education: Law studies at Humboldt University (2015-2019, top honors), LL.M. at LSE (2019-2020), current doctoral research on identity and legal norms. Professional roles include research assistantships since 2015, teaching assistantships (e.g., Public Law I in 2021), and upcoming legal traineeship at Berlin's Higher Regional Court (2025).
Research explores intersections between constitutional law and social theory, including climate law jurisprudence, gender identity legal frameworks, and the philosophical underpinnings of anti-discrimination principles. His writings critique legal norms through a dialectical lens, analyzing how freedom concepts shape and are challenged by contemporary legal practices.
