Nils B. Kroemer

Nils B. Kroemer is a Professor of Medical Psychology at the Department of Psychiatry and Psychotherapy, Faculty of Medicine, University of Bonn, and a group leader at the University of Tübingen. He serves as a principal investigator (PI) for the German Center for Mental Health (DZPG) since 2023. His leadership roles include heading the Section of Medical Psychology at Bonn and the Section of Translational Psychiatry at Tübingen.

His research focuses on the neurobiological principles of motivation, action, and desire, with key contributions to understanding reward dysfunction in psychiatric disorders. His work spans
