Nilesh Shah, PhD, is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Dental Public Health at the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine. His education includes a B.S. from Case Western University (2001) and a PhD from the University of Pittsburgh (2012). His research focuses on implementation science, oral cancer recurrence mechanisms, dental education challenges, and evidence-based guideline adoption in clinical practice. He has conducted studies on factors influencing oral squamous cell carcinoma recurrence, dental sealant implementation in managed care systems, and dental student transitions into professional education.
