His research focuses on Greek and Latin papyrology, literary and documentary papyri, epigraphy (inscriptions and graffiti), Greek mythology, and the ancient Greek novel. He has contributed extensively to the study of Hellenistic and Roman prose, ancient epigrams, and prosopography projects like the Prosopography of the Cynopolite Nome, which catalogs individuals connected to Roman Egypt.
His recent publications explore topics such as therapeutic practices in papyri, relative pronouns in Greek texts, animal trade documentation, and legal terminology in private letters. These works reflect his engagement with both linguistic analysis and cultural-historical interpretation of ancient sources.
