Alba de Frutos García is a Researcher in Classical Philology at the Department of Classical Philology, University of Murcia, affiliated with the Faculty of Arts and Humanities. She holds a PhD from the Universidad Complutense de Madrid (2018), specializing in the study of papyrology and Greco-Roman Egypt. Her research focuses on the analysis of documentary Greek texts on papyrus, the history of papyrological discipline, and the provenance of papyri collections. She collaborates with the DVCTVS research group, promoting the study and preservation of papyrological collections in Spanish institutions.
Her academic career includes participation in research projects funded by public and private institutions. Key publications include analyses of papyri fragments, such as P.Cair.Zen. IV 59538 (2023), studies on social dynamics in Roman Egypt through banquet invitations (2022), and works on historical collections like Eduard Toda's (2021). She has contributed to journals such as Archiv für Papyrusforschung and Aula Orientalis.
