Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nikola Milosavljević is an Associate Professor at the Faculty of Law, University of Kragujevac. He specializes in European Union law, financial regulation, and the governance structures of the European Banking Union (EBU). His research focuses on the institutional balance between EU and Member State levels, particularly regarding accountability mechanisms in banking supervision and resolution frameworks.
He conducted a Marie Skłodowska-Curie Individual Fellowship (2020–2022) at Sciences Po Paris, analyzing the EBU’s impact on accountability standards in France, Germany, Italy, Bulgaria, and Sweden. This research explored governance shifts, multilevel institutional interactions, and gaps in administrative, democratic, and judicial accountability.
His expertise includes narrower commercial law and EU financial integration. He organized workshops, such as the 2021 European Financial Integration conference, to disseminate findings. He is affiliated with the European Central Bank’s Single Supervisory Mechanism (SSM) and Single Resolution Board (SRB) studies.
