Dr. Niklas Hoehne is a Special Professor of Mitigation of Greenhouse Gases at Wageningen University's Environmental Systems Analysis Group and Founding Partner at NewClimate Institute. Since 1995, he has led studies on international climate negotiations and energy/climate policies. His expertise spans carbon dioxide, energy efficiency, climate adaptation, and international policy frameworks.
He holds a PhD and has contributed to major publications on global emissions gaps and climate policy effectiveness. His work emphasizes aligning climate actions with sustainable development goals. Current projects include CD-LINKS, exploring climate and development policy linkages.
