Nikky Finney

Nikky Finney is Carolina Distinguished Professor at the University of South Carolina in Columbia, where she also serves as Director of the Ernest A. Finney Jr. Cultural Arts Center. A celebrated poet and writer, Finney has made significant contributions to American literature, particularly in the realms of poetry that explore African American history, identity, and experience.

Her work is deeply rooted in exploring the intersections of personal and collective memory, cultural identity, and social justice.
