Nikita Krishnan is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychology at Dyson College of Arts and Sciences, Pace University, Pleasantville campus. She is actively involved in teaching graduate and undergraduate courses in clinical and counseling psychology, with a strong focus on mental health, trauma, and spiritual dimensions in therapy.
Her research and teaching interests span several key areas in psychology, particularly:
- Clinical and mental health counseling
- Trauma and posttraumatic stress
- Spiritual and cultural foundations in counseling
- Positive psychology and well-being
- Personality and biological bases of behavior
- Group dynamics and therapeutic interventions
She teaches a comprehensive curriculum including MHC 601: Suicidal Behavior & Counseling, MHC 672: Psychopathology/Personality Disorders, PSY 240: Positive Psychology/Happiness, and PSY 613: Perspectives on Posttraumatic Stress Disorder, among others, reflecting a deep engagement with both theoretical and applied aspects of psychological practice.
Nikita Krishnan mentors students through practicum and internship courses such as MHC 676 and MHC 694, contributing significantly to clinical training in mental health counseling.
